Getting started

Introduction

A device station for AI agents. Real phones and tablets, simulators and emulators, driven by you or by your agent, with safety rules the agent cannot skip.

Silan runs on a Mac and holds the devices plugged into it: iPhones and iPads on a cable, Xcode simulators Silan makes, and Android emulators. It shows each device live on the Mac, lets you use it by hand, and lets an AI agent see the screen and act on it.

The agent can be Silan’s own chat, or the AI app you already use (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode and any other MCP client), or your own program over a REST API, a WebDriver endpoint or the silan command line.

Silan runs on a Mac today. A Linux station is coming.

People

Type a task in plain words and watch the agent do it on your phone. Use the phone from the Mac by hand when you want to. Silan asks before it pays, sends, posts or deletes.

Agents

Give your coding agent real devices to test on. One MCP server with a tool for every device action, element lists instead of pixel guessing, waits that run inside the engine, and leases so two agents never fight over one phone.

QA teams

Run flows on real devices, several at once. Reports with a picture per step, JUnit and JSON exports, schedules, and a team server your company runs itself so teammates can share one Mac’s devices.

  1. The Silan app on your Mac. Setup, the live device view, chats, flows, safety and settings.
  2. The engine, which the app starts. It owns the devices, runs the safety rules, and serves the APIs on this Mac only.
  3. Your agent, through the app’s chat or through an API: MCP, REST, WebDriver or the command line.

Every call, from any client, goes through the same engine and the same safety rules. Nothing leaves the Mac unless you share a device with your team through a relay you or your company run.

Every page here is also plain Markdown: add .md to the address, or read llms.txt for the whole set.
